Contouring & Highlighting

What You Need:

  • Cleanser (suitable for your skin type)
  • Toner (optional)
  • Moisturizer (lightweight or rich depending on your skin)
  • Primer (mattifying, hydrating, or pore-filling)
  • Foundation (matching your skin tone)

Colour corrector (optional)

  • Makeup tools: clean fingers, sponge, or foundation brush

Step-by-Step Practical Guide:

Cleanse Your Face

  • Use your cleanser and water to wash your face thoroughly.
  • Pat dry gently with a clean towel.

Apply Toner (Optional)

  • If you use toner, apply it with a cotton pad all over your face, avoiding the eye area.

Moisturise

  • Take a small amount of moisturizer and gently massage it into your skin.
  • Make sure to cover your entire face and neck.
  • Wait a minute or two for it to absorb fully.

Prime Your Skin

  • Apply a small amount of primer focusing on areas where makeup tends to wear off or pores are visible.
  • Blend evenly over your face using fingers or a brush.
  • Let it set for about a minute.

Apply Foundation

  • Dot foundation onto your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin.
  • Using a damp makeup sponge, brush, or clean fingers, blend foundation evenly outwards toward your jawline and hairline.
  • Make sure the coverage is even, and blend into your neck for a seamless finish.
  • Apply Colour Corrector (Optional)
  • If needed, apply small amounts of colour corrector to areas with redness, dark spots, or dullness.
  • Blend gently with your fingers or a sponge.

Practice Tips:

  • Work in natural light if possible to see how your skin looks.
  • Use minimal product to avoid heaviness; build up coverage gradually.
  • Clean your tools regularly to avoid breakouts.

Now your skin is perfectly prepped for contouring and highlighting! This smooth base helps the products blend easily and look natural.
